Japanese Language Proficiency Test – PASSED!!
February 14, 2009 5:41 pm Life in JapanI’ve finally got the test results and I passed!!! I’m so happy, especially since after the exam I thought I’d messed it up as it was harder than I was expecting it to be but I got 90%! Huge thanks to all my Japanese teachers and friends who have helped me along the way as well as my employer for subsidising my Japanese classes.
According to the back of my test result, those certified at level 4 have “mastered the basic elements of grammar, knows around 100 Kanji and 800 words, and has the ability to engage in simple conversation and to read and write short, simple sentences.”
I’m still contemplating whether to continue studying Japanese when I return home this summer. It’s a lovely country and the people are amazing. Perhaps I’ll be back in the future. Who knows.
